The Point Cloud XYZ writer decomposes a single point cloud geometry into points. All the attributes that a point cloud as a whole could have, will be lost, however, each point gets all the components that were present in the point cloud and mapped in the Parameters dialog:



If a component is mapped, however, it does not exist on points, the writer will give a warning:

with default values because they are required but not present on the point cloud: fmepc_intensity

In the future versions of FME we may consider adding point cloud attributes and user components to the output. Please give us your feedback on this, if you think the changes are necessary.
