For point clouds, a true 3D data type by its nature, it was very important to make possible true vertical reprojection. Before, FME was simply ignoring Z values. Now, FME takes NGVD29 and NAVD88 into account with the new transformer for FME 2011 CsmapReprojector, which works as the old Reporjector, but has one new parameter - "Vertical Handling" with (currently) three options:

* Ignore heights and leave them unchanged.
* Heights are relative to the ellipsoid(s).
* NAD27 heights in NGVD29; NAD83 heights in NAVD88. 


Compare the elevation labels of the original and reprojected point clouds:
