Symptoms

GeoMedia is installed on the computer but the FME Integration Console does not have it listed.

Cause

There could be a couple of causes:

1) FME 64-bit installed but GeoMedia is a 32-bit application.  A 64-bit FME cannot extend a 32-bit GeoMedia.

2)  The registry keys are not in place that FME looks for.

Resolution

1) Make sure 32-bit FME is installed if 32-bit GeoMedia is installed.

2) Verify the registry keys are in place:

- Get the registry string of
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App
Paths\GeoMedia.exe for the path to the GeoMedia executable.

Check that this executable exists:

- Ensure there is a registry subkey under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Intergraph\GeoMedia Professional

or

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Intergraph\GeoMedia that matches the
version of GeoMedia (i.e.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Intergraph\GeoMedia Professional\06.01)

Note: If on a 64-bit OS, the 32-bit GeoMedia registry keys will start
with HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\

3) If the registry keys do NOT exist, re-install or repair GeoMedia and this should correclty populate the registry keys.

4) Check the FME Integration Console.  The "FME Data Server for GeoMedia" should be listed.

5) Revert and extend the "FME Data Server for GeoMedia" (to ensure that the FME dialogue is displaying properly GeoMedia Connection Dialogue):
