Symptoms

When running FME Licensing Wizard, the message "Administrator permissions are required to license FME" appears; FME cannot be licensed.

Cause

User is not an administrator on the Machine; Licensing Wizard May need to be run with elevated privileges.

Resolution

Ensure the user installing the FME license is an administrator. Run the FME Licensing Wizard with elevated privileges: Go to Start > Programs > FME > FME Licensing Wizard, RIGHT click on the FME Licensing Wizard, and select "Run As Administrator".
