This Getting Started manual covers basic concepts and workspace setup.

When you are working with FME Desktop, what you can do with the resulting data is almost unlimited – every user can have a different requirement, depending on the task, the source data, and the type of transformation.

For intermediate or advanced Workbench examples, it is recommended that you download and work through the FME Tutorial, available on our website at www.safe.com or on your FME installation disk. The FME Tutorial includes sample data and a workbook. Taking an FME Training course is also highly recommended. FME components contain detailed on-line help, available from each Help menu or separately on the FME disk.
